Hello,
I am a nutritional therapist and a yoga teacher. My passion is to help people on their journeys to becoming healthier and happier in their lives. The way I do this is by passing on my knowledge of nutrition and teaching yoga.
There are a few other things that I would like to tell you about myself:
-
I don't strive for perfection in my life or other people's lives
-
I used to skip breakfast and have 2 diet cokes before lunch to keep me going
-
I eat very healthily now, but I’m not an extreme ‘clean queen’
-
I don’t believe in dieting because it doesn’t make you healthy
-
I do believe in movement and exercise every day because that helps keep you healthy and happy
I have always worked with the food industry. However, in a prior life my job was to persuade people to buy fizzy drinks, biscuits and sugary cereals. I lived in London and New York and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t fun. But that was a long time ago, way before those clever scientists started shared their amazing discoveries in nutritional science with the world.
I am passionate about the combination of eating well and exercising correctly for your age and health goals. They are a powerful duo when done together. When I tell people they need to make changes to their diets, their first thought is often of deprivation. Of what they are not allowed to eat or drink.
When I teach people yoga they always smile, sometimes even cry with joy at the end of a class. This is because it has awakened the hormones that make them happy. If you do yoga, or any form of exercise you enjoy, while you address your health goals and change a few diet and lifestyle habits, guess what, it’s a happy journey. Not that soul destroying road you might have been on before.
Staying healthy should be fun. Don't you agree?
Audrey

My Qualifications
I studied nutritional therapy at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, one of Europe’s leading centres for nutritional studies. My three year training was based on the Functional Medicine Model and I was one of the very few awarded a Distinction upon graduating. I am also a Certified Coach for Metabolic Balance, an award-winning metabolic strengthening and weight management programme.
I gained my yoga teacher qualifications at the Niki Perry Yoga School under the guidance of Brook Hamblet, the dynamic guru from Texas who has trained many great teachers in the US and around the world. More recently I have become a Certified Menopause Yoga Teacher.
